About Qurtuba Honors Academy
Qurtuba Honors Academy was established to provide families in the Nashville area with an educational environment that combines academic rigor, strong Islamic identity formation, and purposeful student development.
Inspired by the historical legacy of Qurtuba (Córdoba)—a center of scholarship where faith and intellectual pursuit were deeply connected—the academy seeks to cultivate students who are disciplined in thought, grounded in character, and prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
The academy’s educational philosophy reflects a belief that intellectual growth and character development should remain deeply connected. Students are encouraged to pursue knowledge with excellence while developing the habits, integrity, and sense of purpose necessary to lead meaningful lives.
Our Mission & Focus

Qurtuba Honors Academy’s mission is to graduate students who are grounded in a strong Islamic identity, equipped with academic excellence and leadership, and prepared to make a meaningful contribution to society.
The academy is committed to developing students who approach education with discipline, purpose, and responsibility—both in their personal growth and in their role within their communities.

Designed for Long-Term Student Growth
Qurtuba Honors Academy is committed to educational continuity, academic excellence, and intentional student development.
The academy opened its doors in the 2026–2027 academic year, welcoming students from Kindergarten through 9th Grade. With plans to add one grade level each subsequent year, Qurtuba is building a comprehensive educational pathway extending through 12th Grade.
The academy maintains intentionally small class sizes to support individualized attention, strong teacher-student relationships, and a calm, structured academic environment.

Teaching with Purpose at Qurtuba Honors Academy
Qurtuba Honors Academy is seeking educators who are committed to academic excellence, strong character development, and meaningful engagement with students.
Faculty members play an important role in shaping not only student learning, but also the culture, discipline, and intellectual environment of the academy. Qurtuba values educators who approach teaching with professionalism, responsibility, mentorship, and a long-term investment in student growth.
As the academy continues to grow, Qurtuba Honors Academy welcomes mission-aligned educators who are committed to helping students develop in knowledge, faith, leadership, and character.
